I think most people, even outside Lemmy, are in favor of legalization. There's just a lot of old people in charge of the laws who are against it because of years of "Reefer Madness" propaganda crap.
Like, Ohio had a ballot initiative not long ago to legalize it recreationally and, after it passed, their legislature tried to knee-cap it (unsuccessfully, I believe).
All I can focus on is the TI-92 lol.
I wanted one so badly, but it wasn't allowed on most tests because of it's QWERTY keyboard. I had the TI-89 which was basically the same thing but smaller.

Yeah, that's why we added the optional guideline to tag opinions as generally unpopular or unpopular on Lemmy. Quite often, those are two very different things.

The only reason that's the case is because OpenAI had something people ooh'd, ahh'd, clapped, and threw money at and all the other tech companies said "me too!" and threw their half-baked abominations into everything in order to suck up that sweet, sweet training data.
