Yes, that's clear, but I didn't spot any reference (beyond the name) to Crosby Still Nash & Young's song. But maybe it is my lack of imagination.

Right? I'm surprised mysefl :-)

But, I have to say that I upvote as a way to say "yes, I approve the connection" even if I don't like the song.

Connection: Kids toy

Obvious link. Though I don't understand how the previous song refers to it.

Hi,

Thanks so much! This is a cool idea. Two thoughts about the images:

  1. I prefer man-made than AI-generated. So if you can recreate this, after having the final design, I'd prefer that. Of course, our time is limited, and you are doing this for free, so I'm not going to demand anything from you.
  2. I think it's a bit two happy-smiling-kissing-bees. I would like to see some representation of the various musical styles. Like, showing in the background some factories (industrial), sea (surf music), etc. The last one, with the street lights, shows that to some level. (Other members, feel free to suggest ideas)

Actually, three things,

If you have the time and energy, maybe you can add more style to the community logo? If @[email protected] agrees.

Connection ___ for ____

I suspect I'm missing something here

Sorry for the obvious link.

Mod here: That's cool, but please try to avoid linking songs that are performed by the same person/group. Occasionally it's fine. But, if we do this too often it is getting boring.

I can see how someone who doesn't pay attention to the lyrics of Bobby Brown thinks it's a song about "living the American Dream". Same thing as Born in the USA

Yes, it's an obvious link, I'm sorry.

Hi guys.

I've been missing from this sub for the last year or so. For mental reasons. This year has been tough (look into my bio for a hint why).

I'll try to be active again, but I cannot promise anything. If you've asked something int he forum and I ignored it, that's why. I'm sorry. Feel free to ask it again.

Thank you all for keeping the thread.

Hi, sorry for the delay.

I've set you as a moderator now. Thanks for the offer to help.

Crocheting granny squares. My daughter got into crochet and I wanted to knit for a while so I asked her to teach me. After learning the basics I picked up what I need so I can make myself a blanket while commuting to work.

When smart watches were begining to be a thing, a friend of mine bought a smartwatch for like 5$ in Ali express. When I asked him how the watch is he said "I am surprised that even for this low price, they still managed to disappoint me"

I think that your score is too high. It should be lower..

Considering October 7th, and the war since then, do you think that this is a possible solution? I note that a lot of the the population are quite strong in the religion believes. And I note that both religions list revenge as part of their values. Do you think that enough trust can be built anytime soon?

And also, about colonialism, there is no dispute that Jewish people lived in this land for generations. The comparison to e.g., France in Algier, is not a fair one here.

Who said I support settlements at all?

May I ask you what you view as Zionism?

Hi, recently Firefox (technically Librewolf) presents me with weird whitespace as in the image. I tried to search for something similar, and I did find some post, suggesting I'll edit my font configs (in settings), but this has no effect. I tried to also open in incognito mode or disabled all my plugins or even create a new profile on my machine, but the spacings are always like this. On proper firefox, I don't see this issue.

Any idea?

The thing is like this: I have a windows laptop I use for work, and a Linux desktop machine. I have a single screen keyboard etc. and I switch between the two using a docking station. But, I wonder if there is a way for me to "cut the middle man" and just plug/unplug my linux machine.

I guess I can use a remote desktop solution approach on my laptop, but I wonder if there is a more "extreme" solution. Mostly since I have only one Ethernet port in my home office.
