I’m pretty progressive leaning and just joined .world because I had no idea what lemmy was and was tired of reddit but I thought it didn’t matter what one you joined since you can see all the other instances correct? Or am I wrong here, like if I go to All it shows pose from all instances? Have been curious why I have seen so much far left as in comrade leftist post so I guess that adds up if .world is where they mainly hang out. But again I still don’t completely understand lemmy but I enjoy it more than reddit
We lived in Oregon for a while, fairly recently and boy does the PNW have a very racist past. Back when it was the Oregon territory black people could only work there for a certain amount of years and couldn’t own land. In the 1930’s-1950’s Portland had the largest KKK organization west of the Mississippi. Had to look all this up when I saw a guy wearing a confederate flag sweatshirt at Home Depot and then saw one hanging over a driveway way up in the cascades. Portland used to be a very whites only town, wild how it has shifted. But get outside of any of the larger cities and it is thick trump country.
You also have a good chunk of southern Oregon people who are in favor of the state of Jefferson, look that up if you have time to kill lol
True once you factor that all in plus how “smart” the average American is and knowing there are less intelligent folks that make up the bottom half then I get it. I just don’t get the loss of 7 million voters for the dems from 2020 to 2024 vs the same guy. Spoonamore’s recent post about countries in AZ. Smart Elections press release they just put out.

This clip is just a bit chilling to hear them say it out loud and welcome it. I get it they’re Russians but we’re cooked unless something happens between now and inauguration. Only posting the link to reddit because I don’t know which video the clip is from and wasn’t going to sift through Russian pundit videos. I periodically check that subreddit in hopes something does happen because as we all know trump is a Russian asset and they only want the downfall of America. He will divide us all. What we can do though is not let them win and we need to not turn against our own people, no matter how much we disagree on politics because the end result will be much worse.
You know, if they stopped doing shady shit and unjustifiably killing people they wouldn’t have to be. Pretty simple stuff. If they took protection and serve to heart people would truly appreciate them and they would get the attention they desire.

That’s the point, that’s what they want and they want good teachers to be sick of it and leave so they can either put some uncertified person in your place or none at all and keep education for private schools. Trumpy said it himself, he loved the uneducated. It’s sadly all part of their plan to keep critical thinkers at bay so they can do whatever they want and nobody bats an eye.
