Why is it everyone's problem that parents can't figure out that their kids shouldn't have unlimited unrestricted access to the internet? They know not to let their children loose on the Las Vegas strip, why can't they apply the same logic to the internet? I don't agree with 10 year olds looking at porn even slightly but also it's not my problem. I'm tired of the world making everything child friendly. I don't have kids for a reason and if I want to watch Human Centipede 1-4 while blasting hardcore dwarf deepthroat gangbang porn then that's my prerogative.
Honestly his real voice is hilarious and worthy of being made fun of.
We're too poor and too far away from the capitol. It would take days for me to drive to Washington D.C. and if I miss that much work I'll lose my home and other things. Then nothing will change and I'll be homeless for a while :(
Yes. Lemmy is not friendly for the "average" user. We could come up with a list of severs with pros and cons to them and then people would feel more comfortable. I came here the moment reddit killed the API and I was so confused. Federated anything meant nothing to me and I discovered lemmy.world so that's just what I joined. LOL I still don't know the difference between servers.

I wish I knew :( I am uber white according to ancestry and most of my family votes Republican no matter what. I have tried to talk sense into them multiple times. Usually their #1 topic is "save the children!". To them every trans person is a pedophile and Fox news is the word of God. Last year my aunt told me in front of her 12 yr old grandson without flinching "there's a difference between a black person and a N*****!" So... racism is the core? That's it. Republicans are racist. I came to the conclusion on my own.

Yes... We'll just leave our apartments on the west side of the US, drive for 3+ days to the White House on the east coast with our $300 paychecks and while we're gone we'll lose our apartments & livelihoods because we aren't working our 8+ hour day shifts making minimum wage. Then after we're done protesting and burning shit we'll go home to our now homeless family.
That is the reality a lot of us are living in. A good amount of Americans can't rise up because they have a family that would be on the street after 1 missed paycheck.
