In beta, if you slept somewhere potentially exposed to monsters, there was a chance you'd wake up early with a zombie or skeleton spawned right next to you.

Now you just can't sleep if monsters are nearby, but if you do fall asleep you'll be fine until morning.

Same here. It's crazy to me that Reddit decided to alienate the portion of their userbase that was most willing to pay a subscription. Most third party app users are super loyal to their app of choice, and would likely (grudgingly) spend a few extra bucks each month to keep using it. These are users that have, in many cases, been using the same app for over a decade. That is essentially guaranteed long-term revenue.

Instead those users are jumping ship or browsing Reddit behind an ad blocker.

During the height of Covid I worked at a local pet supply chain. Corporate wanted us to call customers who hadn't shopped in a while and beg them to come back. Not only were we short-staffed, now they wanted managers to sit on the phone all day spamming former customers instead of helping out on the sales floor.

I refused to participate since we always promised customers that we'd only call them if there was a recall on pet food. Of course I got reprimanded for keeping that promise. We were already losing business to Chewy and Amazon—why would we want to burn through our customers' goodwill by calling and guilt-tripping them for not shopping with us?

Many subreddits are holding polls on whether they should continue the blackout. For those who are boycotting Reddit, I would highly encourage you to go vote. Even if you plan to leave Reddit for good, a longer blackout will drive more users here.
