Yeah probably. Seems like the image is not stored in its original form in this case but might depend on server settings and the image file. So as always private data like geo tags should be removed before uploading.
Uploaded this test image in the comment with modified metadata (no gps tag but added software, date, vendor info as exif tags) and after downloading it does not contain any metadata anymore. So seems like at least that server does remove it?
Similiar issues still here as well. I can not post to many other communities and subscribing often does not work.
For example i tried posting to [email protected] and the post does not show up on the remote instance but is present here. Commenting on other posts in that community also did not work.
Tried resubscribing and after that it is stuck at pending again. *Tried again a few times to resubscribe and it finally worked. After editing the original post again it was finally posted.
Same issue also with [email protected]. Subscribing does not work and posts are not updating.
Both remote instances seem to sometimes throw a 500 error and seem to be a bit unreliable. Possible that the states got out of sync and posts were refused and no other update is sent?
Retrying at different times seems to sometimes fix it but some are still stuck pending after trying for days.

A community dedicated for making music with hardware that was not meant to make music
Often done with floppy drives, hard disks and similar devices by modulating their motors and mechanical parts to produce certain notes.
You can also post and discuss other projects involving the same concept (modulating motors and mechanical components to make music).
Historically people have been creating programs to step floppy drives in specific speeds to make sounds for over 40 years so i would consider this the most influential way to demonstrate this concept.
Nowadays we have more capable hardware making this even simpler and more powerful and it can be a fun weekend project as well.
Since 2012 i am experimenting with this concept and built several setups over the years.
This playlist contains some bad, some better recordings of my setups.
In the last years i am not uploading new music covers anymore but instead am touring events like Maker Faires with a live version of the setup and working on a new 64 drive setup to revive the concept again and will post them to this playlist as well.

While most communities seem to work for example [email protected] is still not reachable from here. Only 4 posts are synced and subscribe pending status for multiple days. Tried to resubscribe a few times but no change yet.
Might be because it has a lot of posts and lemmy.ml still has some federation issues but some of their communities are working correctly but several of them i am not able to subscribe to.
