I've noticed a few things when blocking users.

  1. If i block user A, then any post/thread by that user A is not shown. So lets say a thread has posts by user A and other people respond to him, all the replies to user A are hidden and only other peoples replies in the thread is visible.

  2. If user A made link posts, they are all hidden including every reply to his thread.

When blocking a domain, i see that communities from that domain still show up in all. I'm confused how to block all communities from a particular domain.

Instead of completely hiding the threads, links and replies to banned users, can the blocked user's post/replies/threads be replaced with a spoiler that the user is blocked in preferences?

i think i read something similar on reddit years back. someone was arrested and everything was in japanese and he couldn't read anything. the police and lawyers were asking him to plead guilty or something and he was adamant on a lawyer which he never got. he was in jail for months i think.

yes, can't connect all hdd to laptop so only using 1 drive at one time in an external enclosure. some drives are portable drives, some are internal drives. its a mix of internal and external drives.

just select only one episode if its a series. after the episode downloads, watch it to see if the quality is good or not. if it's good, you can select the rest of the files to download. you can do this in transmission, qbittorrent or deluge.

Wow! I have a 500gm sugar container and it takes me around 4 weeks to use it completely. I'd probably die of sugar overdose if i tasted that drink.

Apologies don't help much. The two women should ask for full refund of money spent plus additional $10k each for forced cleaning. Fuck the pilot and the supervisor.

After a supervisor reiterated that they would have to sit in the soiled seats, the two women were “reluctantly” provided blankets, wipes and vomit bags to clean the area themselves, according to Benson.

Creepy-droid. It's head and feet are facing forward and the body in between is rotating freely.

Dig a large pit 20 feet deep and fill it with fire ants. Drop these demons in that pit and live stream it till they are completely eaten by the ants.

I had a miui phone and they only update their own apps and the phone with ads or unwanted apps. They only gave one Android update after a year and no monthly security updates. Plus their updates break things or make phone slower. They say a lot of things but don't follow through.

I feel swipe to type should be an option on laptops. Using keys to type is slow compared to swiping across alphabets. Remove the physical keyboard and put a 6" to 10" lcd with touch input on it.

My magazine @GooglePlayDeals has no subscribers except me. Most probably because it's new and was just created a few days back and I don't know how to advertise it on kbin. On the other site, there were subs we could link to to get subscribers.

I've seen some people who have their magazine name next to their username. How do they do that? Probably saw it on lemmy world i think.

Kbin: @GooglePlayDeals

Lemmy: !GooglePlayDeals

Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon.

I am using powertop to view what is using my laptop battery the most and it seems the bluetooth adaptop is using around 5W. I turned BT off in settings and also in /etc/bluetooth i changed the config file main.conf to not autostart bluetooth.
Even after doing this and a couple restarts, powertop still shows BT using 3-5W power.

I searched the bios but didnt find any option to disable the bluetooth device. The only advanced options are wrt frequencies and transmit power settings. Does this mean I cant switch off BT completely?

edit: using quotes instead of code because code doesn't work well. i havent striked out anything. the kbin editor is striking out text by itself. o.0
