That makes sense. I fully support making things more Democratic, but we do need SME's modding as well. We have enough uneducated 'experts' spreading misinfo as it is.

Anthropology has always been a favorite mine as well. There are others on there like the earth sciences or geospatial that I'm interested in, but tbh I think Anthro is the only other sub that I've studied enough as a layperson to be able to effectively mod.

Sorry for the delayed response. Life got hectic there for a bit.

If it's bad, don't make it worse by privatizing it.

There's Fox "News" and 20c Fox/Fox Sports etc.Technically started in the same place, but the non-news side got sold off.

Eh, even within the US it's not unpopular outside of the bible belt. I think most of the rest of the country does it out of habit. I'm not sure many people think about it as anything other than something that's 'just what you do'.

High level waste is only about 5% of the total waste produced and the rest is low to moderately radioactive. The low stuff is safe within a week and the moderate waste is safe within a few months. Almost all of it can be disposed of normally after that like any other trash.

If you took all of the high level waste like actual fuel rods that has ever been produfed in the US since 1945 and put it all in one spot it would be about the size of an American football field.

I'd love to help out if you still need mods. I've never been a mod before, if that matters. Unless you count a stint on an old forum 15+yrs ago.

Yup same here. My parents had both sick days and vacation days. Sick days were PTO you could use the day of, and vacation days needed to be scheduled ahead of time.

Everywhere I've worked that has either had no paid time off at all, or it has just been one bucket and you had to schedule it no less than 48hrs in advance, or they would automatically deny it. As in it would never reach a human being, the timekeeping system would just reject it outright.
