I read the article. Their travel is still an infinitesimally small blip in the cost against climate change compared to the real offenders. Why are you defending the big video game companies and large corporations by attacking small business?

Sorry pal, we thought having you change to paper straws, showering once a week, eating lab-made beef, selling your car and walking 40 minutes to work each way instead, spending two hours a week separating recycling by plastic number, and keeping your thermostat set at 60 degrees was going to save the planet. Turns out we need to also take away one of the small things that brings you joy in this miserable existence by eliminating video games.

Fuck off. There are actual offenders in this world and it's not individuals and video game companies.

Which is bizarre to me, since you have to imagine the core audience for those movies were middle aged people who saw the originals as kids.

These are the people they needed to draw in, but the real audience was their kids. They wanted to create a new generation of Star Wars fans, and they knocked it out of the park.

The states didn't wipe Saudi Arabia off the map when 9/11 happened.

It's wild, every time I try to play this alternate scenario out in my mind, the world always ends up being this insanely blissful utopia with flying cars and unlimited pizza rolls for everyone.

Do Israelis have no agency in your mind?

None of this bothers me.

But also, like, dancing with your friends shouldn't ruin your future because your school system imposes their religious values as a moral "code".

Do they really, though?

This is simplified, but there are legitimate differences exhibited between many of the bones of men and women. Of course, everything is still on a spectrum, but there's a reason forensic anthropologists can often determine biological sex of an unknown person even from an incomplete set of bones.

They won't. But complaining about them on Lemmy and Bloomberg is empowering them.

If it's the standard one with four rectangular buttons on each side of the screen, the second button from the top on the right side should mute the audio. Ad will still play but at least you don't have to listen to it.

Yes, but now it's less accessible, costs more, and is less transparent so companies can astroturf easier.

But it's better because they're totally 100% looking at ways to share the revenue with the communities as soon as possible. Definitely one of the top priorities without a doubt.
