Said some things on stage he really shouldn't have, but people make mistakes and usually grow from it, so we'll see who he is now.

I thought OP was making a sarcastic comment, not literally blaming Obama. It used to be a meme to blame Obama for every little insignificant thing that wasn't his fault. I might have read it wrong though. e.g. r/thanksobama

I'm absolutely positive they dropped a /s that was supposed to be at the end of that comment. If you read it with an exaggerated tone it sounds very sarcastic

How in demand is warehouse maintenance work?

I'd like to add to their comment. A lot of people are coming from very argumentative or abrasive communities, and sometimes their initial messaging will show that. If someone comes off way too hot headed try not to assume that they're going to end up being a troll. They might just be riled up. I've had pretty good success in asking clarifying questions to get people to explain their view rather than just come in swinging.

For all the left people I know, including myself, The reason we don't want a line drawn is because sometimes special circumstances arise. There may be medical complications in the third trimester that would result in the mother's death and it's not feasible to exhaustively list every scenario that could land her in this situation so it's better to just not a put a limit on it so she doesn't have some bullshit hoop to jump through later while she's dying.

That said, I don't think there's anyone genuinely arguing that people should be allowed to get abortions super late into the pregnancy just for funsies. Third trimester is the logical cut off to me, and most of the people I know agree or want it slightly shorter. We just don't want the law to specify that since it can cause legal complications. It's better that it be considered a medical standard.

Hi friend! Without knowing your history, what jobs you've applied for in the past. Try looking at fraud prevention jobs with credit card companies or at banks. Other companies may also have fraud departments. That's a very adjacent field for cybersecurity and would be easy to sell that experience.

I think you've just described an Alzheimer's care center. Buwhahah. Honestly appropriate.

For me, most people in my area have to work labor jobs to get by. That alone will fuck you up by 30.

An extremely common weapon is just whatever paper you can get your hands on, rolled up really really tight and folded over. You use it like a knife, targeting the neck or soft spots. I don't think it's used with intent to kill usually.

When I was a kid sitting in church daydreaming, already losing my faith, I would pretend that stories from the Bible were just misunderstood oral histories. Like what if humans were from another planet? Their polar ice caps melted causing the Earth to flood. A benevolent space fairing alien race stops by and saves them. The aliens explain what they're doing but over thousands and thousands of years The history was blurred into what was eventually written down. It actually made it a lot easier to stay awake during service.

I agree with your analysis of her apology. I don't think I've ever considered what makes an apology sound genuine. I've always thought of it as a gut instinct. Thank you!

Do you think that the publicity from this statement, would make a second, more genuine attempt at an apology sound like attention seeking? I wonder what kind actions she could actually take to mitigate some of the damage she's caused. That's a rhetorical question, I think.
