Seems like blissful ignorance to me.

Instead of comparing these smaller platforms together to find out why one is better or not people should be focusing on why xitter and Facebook are still two of the most popular forms of social media.
So where was all this resistance during the election?
Where was all this activism when democracy hung in the balance?
Why did it take until the dictator was already in power for people to do anything about it?

To be honest I can't make an omelet in a skillet to save my life. Only way I can get them to look good is on a flat top lol
And yeah I get the hype wearing off after doing it for a while but every now and then I'll make one that I feel deserves recognition.
It's posts like these that make me realize just how disconnected lemmy is from real life.
We've become an echo chamber where everyone acts like people aren't readily willing to put up with all this enshitification.
Streaming services are just cable services anymore. And it's not gonna change anytime soon because the average person doesn't care enough to find an alternative.

Nah the real issue is that people will cave in to those helicopter parents making everyone else deal with whatever insanity they force onto their children's
It's not just boomers though. I work with a lot of younger people and they all still use xitter/facebook.
They either don't know/care about alternatives because "everyone else is using it"
