Surely it is easy to judge how happy (or not) they are to be pregnant? Are they smiling?! If so, then a quick congratulations are in order, and maybe follow up with “when are you due?” No need to go overboard with all the extravagant promises about doing everything you possibly can - be careful about setting expectations too high if you can’t deliver.
When you go into a room for something and then can’t remember what it was. There is something about crossing a threshold that makes memories go poof.
I live in the UK and I disagree with you. Assuming this right wing bias is true, how does it evidenced itself in the BBC’s programming and news coverage? Because I don’t see it. Especially their news, which seems very even-handed to me.

I can understand that mods of communities like r/Military feel that they have a duty to serve their community and are worried about no longer being able to do so, unless they comply to the Reddit diktat. But there is an alternative they should embrace - come and join us on lemmy! You can build your community again, in a much safer haven.

My IPad mini 5th generation says it is up to date on 16.5.1. I see IOS 17 is out officially in September, but I don’t see my IPad on the compatibility list. Bummer.
Same here, I just assumed there was no status bar, as it is practically invisible. Now I can see it is there, just about. This is my pet peeve with wefwef - I appreciate it is actually an IOS problem. I hope Apple fix it soon, as I don’t like dark modes.
I tried memmy, which does not have the status bar problem, but I still prefer wefwef. Memmy’s light mode is too faded for me - there is not enough contrast between fonts and the background.
I wondered what was going on, I just got hit by this problem as I wanted to subscribe to wefwef. Some people are just anti-social.
