@Hstansss For light mystery, The Thursday Murder Club books are a good read. A group of retirees in a senior living center have a hobby of trying to solve cold cases. The characters are funny and quirky.

@Sharpiemarker

Second this. She's always great.

@Zaphodquixote It's magically working again. I don't know why it stopped temporarily, but I'm expecting glitches here and there as Kbin grows up.

@ClimbingBunny @Nepenthe Ah, yes. The cultivar common here in Alabama is "Bradford Pear." Messy, malodorous, and super invasive in the American Southeast.

@Zaphodquixote Yes. And while the front page showed what it was supposed to at first, as of yesterday evening it's acting like I chose "all" when I have it set to "subscribed."

I have my setting toggled to show me content from my subscribed magazines on the front page. Yesterday it was working until sometime in the evening. Since then I am getting what looks like assorted posts from "All." I know this is probably a temporary bug, but is anyone else experiencing this?

I've been getting that here and there. Growing pains. Hitting crtl+F5 sometimes gets things to load properly.

Keychron C1 with browns (brand new for home office), and a Velocifire with browns (about to be taken to the office once buidling renos are complete and I can move back into my space). I started out with cheap mechanical keyboards, and I'm testing the waters with a nicer setup.

While they're cute and all, chipmunks are destroying the root systems of some well-established shrubs in my yard. Does anyone have any tested and proven methods for repelling them from certain areas? I don't want to poison or trap the little buggers, but I'd like them to stop killing things. I also don't want to make any of the other wildlife (mainly the neighborhood owls, hawks, and other birds) or my dog sick.

Hi, I'm Mercedes, a social scientist, science geek, and scifi fan. Star Trek is my favorite world, but also love Stargate, Fringe, The Expanse, and others. Still learning my way around Kbin (I suppose many of us are), so I hope I posted this intro in the right spot.

One on Lemmy, one on kbin, so far. Trying out both, seeing how I feel about them. So far I'm more of a Mastodon user. But reddit wasn't my hangout, either.
