I’m saving that. Not sure if and how I could use it as I (at least try…) avoid fanning flames, but…

You might have some polypropylene there. Really strong material! Won’t stick to shit, temperature resistant, chemical resistant, can bend without breaking… never tried it, personally but it’s interesting stuff.

Sounds like TPU? Maybe soft one too.

Yes! Been waiting for this impatiently :D

Anyone on stable?

Me :P I looked through all the settings and found nothing, so unless it’s hidden somewhere I didn’t look, it’s not here yet.

Waaaait a moment: “Fixed an issue with taking multiple screenshots if Game Recording is on”

Game recording? Since when it’s out of beta?

Thanks, I think I get it. There’s a lot of humidity where I live too, so while not at the same scale, the problems are at least relatable. Best of luck with the project, it sounds like a cool but lengthy and complex journey that can really pay off!

Oh! The “brassic” guy! I don’t have much help to offer, but I didn’t know that term, had to look it up and found the tv show :D so thank you.

A tiny bit of potential help: you mention wanting to use desiccant in the boat. I’m obviously not an expert, but it sounds like a bad idea, as the stuff absorbs water… but maybe you mean in small amounts, so that wouldn’t make a difference.

If you have other ways to play a game, consider buying it regardless of the rating for the Steam Deck. Sometimes verified games update in a way that makes them way too hardware intensive, others might actually be playable regardless of what they say and the only real way to find out, is to try. For example, I wanted to try it so I setup Steam VR on the Deck, added ALVR, set it to minimum resolution and fps… I mean, Taskmaster VR worked. I had to make the resolution inside Steam VR all the way down, and it keeps a shaky 60 fps (doesn’t bother me, others could get motion sickness) but it was playable. Obviously it was docked, so 100% just curiously as on the other side of the desk there’s my actual gaming computer, but…

My understanding is that oleds are a weird beast. Since there’s no backlight, each pixel can be considered a small colored light, if you have a fully black screen, then it’s essentially off and not using any power. However, there are instances where the peak brightness is limited to a small portion of the screen, because blasting the entire thing of full brightness white would pass the power supply capacity…

That said, let me stress this: it’s my understanding. Not a hard fact, I might be wrong or just basing things on old information.

I am convinced that kernel AC is… mostly on games that have a fuckton of cosmetics. Let’s see, who’s against Linux specifically? Destiny, even if it was in Stadia and that was Linux. Fortnite. Ubisoft has it on juuuuuust a select few games, everything else they’re happy to see on every platform.

They don’t care about cheaters, they’re protecting the micro transactions.

In short “It’s good, but it’s not the same as my mother makes it…”

Lots of tanks getting a buff here. Good stuff?

Apparently there’s also a large balance pass we’re going to find out soon, but the key takeaway here is… Widepark tier 3 to 8? Really? I’m not sure if I like that.

Because ohhhh, yeah, we’re finally getting the Star Trek event! https://modernarmor.worldoftanks.com/en/cms/news/star-trek-challenge/

We’re getting the Star Trek event! We’re getting the Star Trek event! So, so, so very much happy about this! I’ve been watching pc get it, then slowly it crept into all other WG products and finally! The one I enjoy. Yessssssss. 🖖

This looks like a substantial update. Lots of tanks getting balance changes (slower reload for the Type 5 heavy, really?), a change of how low tier auto cannons work, ATGM have an indicator that you are too close and also they accelerate faster. Plus new season. 4 hours update downtime.

I’m grumpy about the Type 5.

That looks convoluted. The part I’m not happy about is how it has a contract style, and while my personal tastes are subjective, what it means is that it tends to bunch all the player base in the same step, so at points “everyone” will be after kills, at others spotting only… thankfully it can be done in coop, as the bots will keep doing their thing regardless.

Also: pc got Star Trek, when do we get those goodies?

Update Notes for May 21, 2024 (modernarmor.worldoftanks.com)

That’s a lot of stuff! They’re changing the UI, a boatload of tanks, a couple of game mechanics for Cold War, fixing bugs… I’m not sure I like some changes, like the French tier 10 arty getting a reload buff (NOT a fan of that specific tank) or German tanks getting better damage but worse reload to compensate. Also worth noting that this will take 4 hours.

Oh, and they added pretty reflections on PS5/XSX.

Having said that, I’m asking for a little favor: sometimes the links I post get downvoted, and to be honest I don’t mind, but if something isn’t welcome let me know why! As far as I can tell all I’ve been posting is useful or interesting to know, so I’m not seeing a pattern.

The ISU-130 has plenty downsides, but if you can sneak to the side, the other team will feel it. Also not mentioned in this article is a balance pass in WWII for over 90 tanks, with the details coming Monday. I am always worried when it’s a large balance pass like this…

I’ll start: a naked guy complaining to his host that there’s less light than advertised.

As per the title, you can just Side Quest the apk, open it, do the login, connect a Bluetooth controller and enjoy. It’s just a big screen, but it’s nice. Also very, very easy to do! I remember when doing this for Stadia it required fiddling a little and, crucially as it was before the support for Bluetooth controllers, Stadia was the only option because the controller was WiFi lol.

As a bonus you could install a browser (here’s my pick https://vivaldi.com/android/ ) and in the future just download apk with that.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t see it was cold war only and kinda started to dread an invasion of Swedish cheese wedges…
