Looks like they put the oversized load on a boat for as long as they could, but have to do the last leg by road.

If, as with your example, we said pedophiles have zero rights, that would mean that anyone would be free to kill them, to steal from them, to torture them, or whatever.

That's literal outlawry: being put outside the protection of the law. Anyone being free to kill an outlaw is a feature of outlawry, not a bug.

This looks like a major update to a well-established improvement hack. A retranslation with ability name changes, more detailed maps, and that Bishop softlock bug should be long stomped.

You've just described the entire language of Toki Pona. The same string of words can mean "bear" or "elephant", and I copied a phrase someone used to mean "tiger trap" and it was read as "bamboo arch".

Many cats are demonstrative. Meowing + running off = "follow me!" Meowing + food bowl = "feed me!" Meowing + walking up to you = "pet me!"

gImageReader is a graphical front-end to the open-source OCR program Tesseract, so that might be just what you're looking for. The default settings don't add the OCR'd text to the PDF but you can do that.

Undertale is the obvious suggestion, although it's more deconstructive than Earthbound.

Looking at the blog post Shyfer found, Pathfinder 2e and Daggerheart diverge from D&D 5e in opposite directions. PF2e puts a lot of emphasis on game balance, battlemat tactics, and specific named actions. Daggerheart looks to be quite loose with rules and trying to be cinematic rather than balanced.

They could both be good games, but Final Fantasy Tactics isn't going to scratch that Dynasty Warriors itch or vice versa.

Did LO discontinue distribution via torrent?

Edit: torrents are now up. Does it always take a day?

Dragon Quest has lost both its composer and its designer within two and a half years. I assume Dragon Quest XII is far enough along to complete and release, but this might be the end of the series.

Washable inks? (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Are there any inks that wash out of clothing very quickly and easily? I'm especially interested in inks that wash out cleanly without stain treatment.

Edit: Washing quickly and easily off the toddler is a bonus.

This copies a post by grailly on Reddit.

Most games have adopted popular RPG mechanics and it's widely accepted that "everything's an RPG now". RPGs are also some of the biggest and most popular games around.

I'd argue that Puzzle Game mechanics (aka puzzles) are even more widespread than RPG mechanics throughout the media. However, Puzzle Games themselves are pretty niche and basically never get any big budget titles. This gets more surprising when realizing Puzzle Games are very popular; Tetris might just be the most recognizable video game, Portal (Portal 2 might be the only AAA puzzle game?!) is insanely beloved, wordle took the world by storm last year, sudoku and crosswords are still in the newspaper every day, Candy Crush...

Why do you think Puzzle Games are relegated to being indie or AA?

I thought about it a bit and came up with some unbaked responses which I hope you will add to:

  • People want to kill stuff in AAA games. To which I answer, can't we kill stuff in puzzle games?

  • There's little point to making Puzzle Games more expensive. Would having The Witness or Talos Principle pushed to AAA status make them any better?

  • "Puzzle" is a recessive genre. Add anything to a puzzle game and they aren't considered puzzle games anymore. So making a AAA Puzzle game will basically remove its Puzzle Game consideration. Puzzle + exploration = adventure. Puzzle + fighting = Action adventure. Puzzle + story = walking simulator, etc.

What mods are highly recommended for Crusader Kings II? I haven't gotten the new one yet -- had to get a computer that can run it first -- so I'm still interested in mods for the old one.
