I have a few accounts on different instances and flick between the seamlessly in the app I use. It has worked well for me when experiencing the issue you describe.
Cricket is great and it takes a lot of time to get under the skin of the sport and understand the intricacies. It's also easy to take the piss out of because of the slow paced nature of 5 day test matches and the funny jargon.
Sounds like he was either being a little bit gatekeepy because he couldn't be bothered to explain the rules or he was a bit sensitive to having his sport ridiculed... or maybe he was just being polite and turned it off to socialise

It's clear that leaving the EU would mean new treaties between the UK and EU and it is obvious that immigration rules would change. There were many people saying many different things about how they would change, but if he had just tried to apply some logic he should have come to the conclusion that, at best, his right to live in the EU was at risk.
