At this point I would think most people know, but for those who don't:

I believe the initial intention was that it was going to be a live service game, where they would add more content and cosmetics over time and continue to support it, but after the backlash of their monetisation method (after people had already purchased the game) they got it to a 1.0 state and moved on to I'm guessing Monster Train 2.

It's a shame because Inkbound had an interesting foundation there and I believe they could have figured out a better model to keep the game alive.

I got some good hours out of Inkbound, but something rubbed me the wrong way about how they handled it. It's as though following backlash on their monetisation they decided to wrap the game up and push it out the door and essentially abandon the game.

I loved MT, and that's why I grabbed Inkbound, but I'm optimistically cautious about MT2. The demo for MT2 was great, I'll just have to wait and see.

I know it's not what you asked for, but I highly recommend PC Part Picker. Whenever I build a new PC I find it really useful for seeing other builds, as well as it doing the hard work of finding prices for me and checking compatibility between components.

At first glance I pictured a silhouette of Pusheen.

When I first joined Lemmy as part of the semi-great API migration it seemed quite empty, but it does feel like it has slowly grown, unfortunately I'm finding following Trump getting in I can't scroll without seeing tons of Trump/Musk posts. Doesn't matter how many things I block it is neverending. I just want to go back to when we were just here to have fun, not constantly be reminded as to what is happening across the pond.

I use Boost for Lemmy (paid) as that is what I used to use on Reddit, but I've been seeing the odd message recently of people saying it has been abandoned as there have been no updates. It still functions perfectly fine for me.

Here's hoping they don't get in when the next GE rolls around.

Only existing PS Plus members are eligible to receive said compensation, which is a five-day extension of membership. Everyone else gets an apology.

Hopefully saved someone else a click

It's just a shame to end a trilogy of vampire hunter movies on essentially a low-stakes comedy.

I see what you did there

Shiitake mushrooms were my gateway mushrooms. It also depends how they are cooked.

Growing up my parents would barely cook the mushrooms, so when I'd find one by accident and bite into it I'd get gross earthy mushroom juice 🤢.

Helldivers should no longer slide around on the ground after ragdolling from a blast (despite it being the year of the snake)

This one made me genuinely lol

Just in case anyone wanted an update on the preservation efforts of the giant spiders....

Has anyone found since installing Balatro it is using battery even when you're not running it?

I noticed recently my battery has been running down a bit more than usual. I then noticed since my last charge it says Balatro has been using my battery even though I haven't played and it's not running as an app that I can close in the background.

Hey all, I'm still a junior dev with years of experience in IT. One of the things I've noticed since making the switch is that (at least where I work) documentation is inconsistent.

Things I encounter include incomplete documentation, outdated documentation and written process details that have assumed knowledge which makes it difficult for junior Devs to pick up.

I've had a search and a lot of what is out there talks more about product and how to document that SDLC rather than best practice in writing and organising documents against the actual software engineering and its processes.

Does anyone have any good sources or suggestions on how I could look to try and begin to improve documentation within my team?
