Just because someone was born in Russia does not make them a specific type of person. Nobody chooses where or when they are born. 7-Zip has been for ages, and if something were to happen to it then im sure one of the dozen of forks around will take the role as the "main one". However you are right, companies desire something predictable, stable. Which is why some companies like SUSE, Red Hat, etc. Manage to sell FOSS. in fact i believe some of these distros include p7zip, and they freeze it to a specific version, security updates and bug fixes are backported.

and decently priced

Sorry but there is nothing decent about an overpriced $1000 phone that costs $200 to make in China.

Many brands are decently priced, but Samsung is not one of them.

Just to add to Alkider's comment, you do not need to download anything off github, technically just by knowing the id of the app is enough. for example if you want to get rid of com.google.chrome you just need to:

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.chrome

However im sure a script will make it easier for you and probably has a integrated list of useless apps to uninstall in one go. Phone model and brand does not matter, ADB is standard. if it runs android it should work.

Just to give you a bit more info. I am on 20% right now, with 7hrs 3 mins of screen on time. 1 day, 9hrs and 48 mins phone idle. not charging in between.

Before installing my current system I would be lucky to get the day, i would charge my phone every night.

microG has been a blessing, for me everything works (signal, whatsapp, banking apps) just as if i had gapps installed and the battery lasts roughly double.

Not really, but then again I am using crDroid and microG. i used to have a crazy battery drain back when i was using gapps tho.

Not bad, in my head it was included when i mentioned "LOS derivates". but yeah. def a good choice.

What phone are you using? POCO F3

Are you happy with it? What are its best and worst qualities? Works and does everything i need, the camera is decent so i am happy about that.

Which phones have you had previously? Which were the best and worst of the lot? Hard to remember, however I will never forget my old OnePlus One... basically started this whole path of Android customization I took.

How often do you upgrade to a new phone? Honestly whenever my old one dies. I am not rich and phones are quite costly these days.

What other Android ecosystem devices do you have? Watches, headphones/earbuds, etc. Just my phone

Do you also use any Apple products, or are you Android all the way? (And/or Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, etc.) Just my phone, however I do have a server at home running Debian 12 and my desktop running Windows 11

I am sorry but this list is... not-good. Includes problematic ROMs (Copperhead OS), dead projects (AOKP), and OEM closed-source ROMs (MIUI)

To anyone out there, my personal recommendation would be: if you own a Google Pixel, go for GrapheneOS or CalyxOS, if you do not have a Pixel phone, try LineageOS and derivates (I am personally running crDroid with microG instead of gapps)

Besides 2019 (i love simplification) i would have to say 2005, that was my peak on the internet. lots of time spent as a teenager browsing random sites.
