I saw a react to this interview. This guy is so out of touch with any actual reality. He probably had trouble playing a g chord on his dad’s guitar in middle school, got laughed at and decided to make sure musicians would die out. Fuck this guy.

Sarah makes great videos and her music is so cool and weird.

I switched like a year ago. Much better experience. Not just browsing, but like life in general.

This is why I will never drive in the state of Missouri again. Well it was a speeding ticket, but whatever.

It’s so easy to read, worth starting over. If you read fast you’ll get through it all in a couple months.

Yeah it’s most definitely a space opera. There’s so much good science in there though.

The Expanse is a great at engineering read. Doubly so for a space opera. Lots of very legit science in the science fiction there.

I feel like the issue here is ALL very large businesses are enshitifiing. It's not the restaurants fault, the services they use to operate are also getting worse while charging more. Enshitification is a trickle-down economic model.

Sure fucking seems that way, doesn't it?

I didn’t even know that’s what they were doing with the new Tron. Count me disappointed.

Tron and GitS are actually two of my favorites. Their aesthetic captured me at a young age and I’ve been hooked since. The Expanse was a really good, real-feeling semi cyber-punk series (books and show).

I try and use less words to get a point across, but in no way do I blunt or soften the point I am trying to make.

Hello friends. I am new to the mechanical keyboard world. I purchased my first, a Keychron K5 Pro. I love it. Feels great, works great, sounds great. I would like to replace a handful of the keycaps however, trying to just customize a bit.

So my issue: I can't figure out what to buy. The K5 came with "Low-profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps". They measure about 4mm in height (just the keycaps). I'm looking for a handful of 1U caps, either in some fun colors or with random art printed on them. I am not opposed to getting a full set of keys if they are priced right.

From what I am reading in random places, XDA or DSA profile caps are CLOSE to what I have in size and shape. Can anyone guide me here? Maybe suggest a specific seller or a better search term than "Low Profile PBT Keycaps"? I seem to be finding a lot in other profiles (I get it, I purchased a kind of specific keyboard type), but not a ton of caps that seem to be correct for me.

Please help! Thanks in advance homies.

I feel like whenever I see the ampersand on this website, it’s followed with “amp;”. I’ve noticed it other places on the internet also. Why does this happen? Is it some programming thing?

Just for a test: &

discuss.

Hello friends. Shortly before I made the move to iPhone back in the beginning, I had a short stint with Blackberry as my device. One thing I LOVED that the Blackberry did, was Profiles (at least I think that's what it was called). It was a one button push to a menu where I could decide which profile I was using. This "profile" was essentially a settings overhaul, that allowed you to change things like ringer/notification volume, vibration settings, and maybe that was it. Either way, I've been wishing for this function in iOS ever since.

What I have: iPhone 14Pro, latest iOS version (iOS 16.5)

What I've done: Set up shortcuts that are on my home screen as buttons, which change my Focus. I have 3 Focus modes right now.

  1. Daytime - Full volume and long vibrate, easy to hear notification sounds
  2. Vibe - 35% volume, same notifications as Daytime
  3. Sleep - No notifications except calls/texts from my favorite contacts. It's essentially an all-but-an-emergency setting

What I'd Like: I want to be able to add any necessary steps to these shortcuts to change the notification sounds for the "Vibe" focus. This focus is meant for when i'm sitting at home or with friends and can hear my phone easily. I don't need to change all the sounds. Just texts, email, ringtone, voicemail. You know, the stuff that I'm most likely to receive.

Does anyone know how I can do this? Like I said, I've already got the shortcuts set up, I just need to add the notification sound changes. Is this possible? I cannot figure it out!

P.S. Hope you're all enjoying Lemmy! I know I am.
