The American Greek fraternity system frankly baffles me. Why would a newly independent young person go through a humiliation gauntlet in order to join a hyper-conformist pseudo cult?

How do you manage to go through life without watching a single episode of Trek? It has numerous seasons and spinoffs, and it is constantly in syndication. Do you avoid broadcast TV in entirety?

Rolemaster was a bloated mess that could've only been made in the 80's. Nobody with any amout of sense plays it nowadays.

I grew up on French, British and Italian comics that have a variety of themes and are mostly episodic with contained stories. The shared universe, crossover, retcon nonsense is almost exclusive to the Marvel and DC bubble.

A lot of money is spent in order to propagandize Americans into thinking they're living in the greatest country in the world (tm), and the weird veneration of the founding document, and the people who wrote it is a big part of it.
