The only immutable "distro" I use is SteamOS on the Steam deck, and already knowing that I will have to re-install networkmanager-openvpn annoys me.

From this list: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/all-cross-platform-games/, selecting only PS5 + PC games, I have only played Overcooked, and thought it was fun.

However, I guess Diablo 4 should also be good. Surprisingly many people also enjoy Farming Simulator, but I only played it for a few minutes, so can't say too much about it.

Well, it's easy for me: The only Non-Pokemon and Non-Mario-Gameboy game I played was Tetris DX, and I quite liked it.

IMHO nobody should ever be able to charge that somebody else can post a link to your content - links are the fabric of the www and precisely there to be shared.

Such a stupid take:

  • We know way less about submarines, especially non-military ones, so that we can get way more info from finding the cause of the failure with submarines compared to normal boats, especially as refugee boats often are very obviously overcrowded.
  • There likely would be a way greater effort to save refugees if it didn't mean them coming to Europe. Just from a monetary perspective, saving 300 refugees is probably more expensive than saving a handful of rich people in the long run.
  • Even though it's dangerous, it seems way less dangerous than the titanic drive. Here, the failure rate was 1 in 4, and by far not that many refugee boats sink

Pokemon Omega Ruby, where I modified trainers/routes a bit to suit my needs.

Probably not. I signed up in a (way smaller) Lenny instance in the past, but did not stay there, so I guess I will also not stay here. Let's see in a week or so.

Wow, thanks, that helps a lot!

Thanks, that helps me for this. Is this a general way? So I don't put it into any search bar, but just write https://lenny.world/c/(everything without !) or is the emulation community a special case?

I am usually using either (mostly) Windows or (mostly) Linux on a machine. On new machines I buy or set up I usually try to install Linux first, but I will not switch from Windows to Linux on older machines I have already set up and I will also not remove Windows from machines I don't use that often.

At least for now, I don't plan on installing Windows 11, so if Windows 10 support runs out I might switch a few more machines to Linux.

For native Linux games, and not sure if best, but the games I played most:

  1. Stardew Valley
  2. Slay the Spire (tbh. only on the Steam deck, and I did not know it was Linux-native)
  3. Supertux
  4. Supertuxkart (the last two are tbh not great, but they are open source and easily available, so I always play them)
  5. Sauerbraten (didn't play for quite some time though)

However, I also use(d) wine or proton to run some games on Linux, for example Grim Dawn, Anno 1602 (unfortunately doesn't run any more - and after they did not deliver the promised Multiplayer for 1503 I decided to not buy any successor, so unfortunately no Anno for me any more) and Guild Wars.

Even though I mostly play them on Windows, I tried out Satisfactory, Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Guild Wars 2 on Linux and they seemed to work well.
