This man has a point. It would be much more effective if the wind is always blowing into the turbines. That sounds impossible, but you could simply place the turbine on a car. Whenever driving, there is lots of wind, and it always comes from the front of the car (unless you put the car in reverse, but that is not a state that the car is in for a long time).

/s (although I have had to genuinly explain to people why this does not charge the battery of an electric vehicle).

I will not justify the price increase of this post, but the high margins kinda do make sense to me.

The average profit that youtube makes on a gigabyte worth of video data, is much much lower than that 98.7%. There is such a vast amount of random crap being uploaded, that the content creators that actually generate views, hence revenue, must bear a huge sinkhole of costs for youtube. The same holds for Twitch: streams with only a handfull of watchers cost Twitch money. But it is a double edged sword. Because the reason these content creators are as big as they are, is because they could start from nothing, and upload for free. The big guys support vast amounts of amateurs trying to become big. It is probably one of the most socialistic models we have in our current capitalistic market.

That being said: Youtube is getting shittier in an attempt to sqeeze this model for extra profit.

I have decided to assume that OP is already married to said old friend, and has two kids with said old friend. His marriage to this old friend just feels right.

If you want to play animal crossing, but only have a PC: try Dinkum. Same gameplay loop, but with a few minor twists and turns. And the setting is Australia. Hence you ride your mu around town, shearing the wool of your pleeps and milking your vombats. Ofcourse you need to defend them from crocos and fire spitting bush devils. But anything you kill can be thrown on the BBQ. And to get rich, you start a fairy bread empire. Exporting millions worth of sugary goodness.

An AI that describes a scene and reads out load any written text in the super fast way that blind people can listen to text sounds super usefull.

There is also a sizable market for laptops that do not do much more than log onto a remote desktop. Especially with remote working, that has becomes the perfect middle ground between security, cost, and ease of use. A cheap ARM processor would work perfectly for those machines.

Good point. But if I read the article correctly, the UK navy has no issue with these non Chinese nationals.

Yup. This entire article sounds like sensasionalism. They mention the word 'race' several times. But Chinese is not a race, it is a nationality.

It requires context to determine whether "German" refers to the captor or the prisoner here. After all: if Germany captures a POW, it is their prisoner. Hence, it is a German POW.

Maybe it is a rights issue. Preventing a prod build agent of sorts to access develop code.

At least a good diff tool will ignore whitespace diffs.
