Hmm. After reading the article, it appears to be touchy. SK happens to have less acceptance of the LGBTQ community than the US (which is saying something).
So they're taking the step of including a trans character, but stopping shy of exposing an out trans woman (seemingly the more contentious of the two typical trans genders).
