They just blocked a few of the main ones. I was able to sign up from Sri Lanka last week for ~$4/mo family plan. Might meet more investigating to see where works.

Whenever there is a question in the article title just assume the answer is no. Saves time and is true for clickbait like this.

This will be an unpopular answer but I use Nordvpn mainly because during Black Friday sales you can get it essentially for free using a cash back portal. The start of the sale last year, which I missed, was offering over 100% cash back. They’d pay you to use it!

Others are better but if the level of protection you’re looking for is “Comcast stop sending me piracy warnings” this’ll work.

It does seem unlikely Plex would include this ever. Hate their generic pivot to ad supported bs. But as a lifetime sub to Plex I’m riding it down.

I hear jellyfin supports plugins which is one step easier.

At home I watch on an Apple TV with a nas running isponsorblock. Works well but is a single device/location solution. And I am still paying for YouTube premium.

Interesting. Just need it to work on a server with an interface as effortless as sonarr.

What if I want to watch on my tv or download for offline use?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Yep. Add to the server with ads and sponsor bs removed.

Interesting. I’d not considered that Plex could build it in. That of course relies on accurate YouTube metadata but it’s not impossible.

Arr software for YouTube with Sponsorblock built in.

A way to use Sponsorblock on podcasts.

Would be great for commentary tracks too.

I wish there was arr software for YouTube that included Sponsorblock. Every one I’ve tried hasn’t really worked. Need it to be automated or I’m stuck using YouTube.

A quick googling says these are both shut down. RIP.

One of my favorite Apollo features was I could be in the middle of a deep comment section. Swipe back to the homepage, then swipe over into where I left off in the comments. I believe this was handled by edge swipes vs swipes from not quite the edge for up/down votes. No idea how it remembered location.

Love the app! Really made the transition to Lemmy much easier.

This weekend we got the conclusion to The Venture Bros. One of my favorite shows that’s stuck around for years even if seasons were released sporadically. Loved the movie. It closes enough plot threads without overdoing it. Lots of good character moments.

Anyone else watch this? What did you think?

I just keep doing them backwards from muscle memory. Would prefer customizable options.

Welcome to all the new Reddit migrants. What’s something different you’d like to see in c/churning you never got from r/churning?

Welcome Reddit refugees! What’s something that always bothered you about Reddit you’d like to be different here?

Perhaps daily discussion threads are a little ambitious with this small offshoot from r/churning.

How have you been dealing with the r/churning withdrawals? Have you done and interesting churns? know of any other reddit alternatives for the churning community?

Adding in a familiar thread to keep things feeling normal.

While we try out reddit alternatives, why not try the open source reddit clone, lemmy. I honestly don't know a whole lot about the whole fediverse, only heard about mastadon vs twitter recently but I never used twitter and don't see a reason to start with mastadon. But the churning community is small enough and separate enough from main reddit, why not give it a try.
