Ive been using ivy on my Chromecast it's good, but Flauncher looks more like what I want.

Yup! Somewhere along the line they improved how it tags and fetches show Metadata. Now the default setup is great
What about Fossify Calendar (a fork of and currently pretty identical to Simple Calendar). It's honestly the best calendar I've used
Jellyfins pretty great. It's much simpler than Plex and has quite a few less features, but it does what it does really well
Samsung could easily win me over if their bootloader was unlock able.
Edit: Apparently it's just US variants that can't be unlocked

Hey I got one too! I took it apart and repainted it black to match.
For temp schedules I made a local calendar in HA with repeating events with a description of "high" "mid" and "low". The automation trigger is a calender event that reads the description and sets the temp accordingly
Is there one that doesn't suck and isn't auto/carplay?
Really love tempo. I think my only request would be an option for list views instead of a grid
