I agree. I personally found the system was far too addictive, in the Cookie Clicker kind of way of "bigger number = happy". I sometimes find myself missing it almost, only to remember that it's worthless.

It also means I can more freely share my actual opinions, without that reflecting on some sort of global score if people generally dislike said opinion.

It's a novel idea, I can certainly see the nice implications of it, but it also seems incredibly excessive. Would you really going around flagging every user you see on a trust system? Or even enough users for the system to be moderately effective? And then expect many other users to do the same?

I honestly don't think I'd use it, blocking people is enough for me.

It's what I dislike the most about the fediverse concept. It's nice in principle, but it's all far too fragmented, which not only makes it a lot easier to target specific servers, it also introduces the concern that is defederation.

The open source part is great, but the federation part will take a long time yet to convince me, if it ever does.

Honestly PrequelMemes is the largest subreddit I'd likely miss the most from Reddit. That and lotrmemes. It's good to see it's found a home here already!

It's not from the recent Direct. It's just the most recent trailer uploaded to Nintendo's YouTube.

I'm a winter person, getting really sick of the heat to be honest.

For once, I'm actually looking forward to Monday, as it's due to be a bit cooler.

I wish. It sent me to this post certainly, but the other time this happened it sent me to some Furry Memes post.

so we can focus on serious things like Donald Trump and superhero movies.

Yeah it's fake. It felt serious until then.

The title of the IGN article seems a bit clickbaity. To quote the actual relevant content:

Xbox was worried about losing Starfield after seeing Bethesda titles like Ghostwire: Tokyo and Deathloop head exclusively to PlayStation.

There's no indication Starfield would have been exclusive without the acquisition, and I'd be incredibly surprised if it would have been, considering it's frequently viewed as "the third series" alongside The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Granted I can definitely see the cause for concern, but it seems entirely unwarranted personally.

I think it slightly improved after the first 5 actually. The first 5 episodes were just her at school, and after she leaves she starts adventuring a bit. Granted I'm not sure I'd recommend watching it if you didn't like the first 5 episodes either way.

A lot of the humour of the main series is ultimately derived from the party dynamic in my opinion, so I absolutely see where you're coming from in that regard, and to some extent I'd agree with you. Later on there are some Axis Order related shenanigans, and a tighter focus on Yunyun's dynamic with Megumin, but it struggles to reach even the baseline of the main series' humour for me.

I remember enjoying it on 3DS, but I can honestly remember very little about it. I can't say a revamp would hurt, especially to bring it up to HD.

Not that guy, but last year they got acquired by Branch, an analytics company. Android Police article about it here. The same company also acquired Sesame of Sesame Universal Search.

To clarify, I'm unaware if they've done anything suspicious since the acquistion, but potentially giving an analytics company launcher level access raised eyebrows for more than a few people, myself included.
