Wife's gone to Brighton with step daughter to get SDs wedding dress. They're staying overnight.

I'm doing a Rings Marathon!

I'm trying to decide what to do at the moment. I was considering the beach, or possibly a bit of geocaching. I feel like I have been stuck in the house/office all week so it will be good to get out for some fresh air.

I love GC! Is there a Lemmy community for it? Never even thought to look.

Edit - yes there is one here on lemmy.world but it’s not very active and one that looks to be Portuguese :)

I used to go out every weekend and find them, that was about 15 years ago. I haven't done one in ages, but I feel I am at a point in life where I am refocusing my hobbies again so GC might make a reoccurrence.

Woke up very tempted to sack off the knitting group I was supposed to be going to, but you'll all be very proud of me I'm sure because not only did I go and be social...I even hung around for an extra catchup session afterwards and was even MORE social than planned. It involved lots of walking there and back too so that's my exercise in for the weekend.

Now it's just me in the house alone until Tuesday, so I'm commencing part 2 of the plan as described yesterday. The part where I leave all the curtains closed, slob around, stay up til stupid o'clock in the morning, eat macaroni cheese and watch Star Trek (maaaybe learn some Greek).

Need to go shopping in the city. The last thing I want to do today. Would much rather go to the beach although the easiest one for us to get to (via train) is Bournemouth and last time we went there it left a lot to be desired. So the plan is to get the shopping out of the way as early as possible and then consume a lot of gin…maybe the shopping will be easier if I start the gin beforehand! Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hope the shopping was acceptable at least!

I'm a winter person, getting really sick of the heat to be honest.

For once, I'm actually looking forward to Monday, as it's due to be a bit cooler.

My car developed a gearbox problem which I've been told is not economic to repair so I guess I'm looking for a car.

Didn't really have that planned in the budget.

Can't believe the price of used cars.

The Dutch TT is on, so a proper chill one. Soon it will be too late to make a start on the garden, tough luck.

All night Karaoke party fueled with sake.

Just need to warm up the old vocal chords first.

Got your songs picked out?

All Spice Girls all the time.

This is the way.

Roofer was meant to turn up at 9AM to sort out an issue I'm having when it rains (seems like part of the gutter is blocked and it causes water to fall out).

They didn't turn up.

Clearing out my overgrown garden. Multiple trips to the tip in my tiny car. I just want to sit and play the new F1 game but if I do that the plants will take over.

Watching Rick Beato interview Nuno Bettencourt for two hours and avoiding melting.
