I use it on my work laptop and recently put it on my Mom's computer (basically a browser machine anyway) as well. So far so good on both. The only thing my mom doesn't like is that the file explorer is called dolphin, she said it's confusing. I plan on using a menu editor to change the name, then all is well.

In hindsight I can see that a little bit. I think you're right though, likely a combination of lighting choices and cheap touch ups etc.

So true, it will only work if in the middle of the series/movie the main character stops under a bridge and jumps to hit their head repeatedly for an hour to power level. And we know the execs won't allow that kind of true art to exist

They do as far as I know. From watching Frameworks release video, I think i they meant 16 TB of additional storage

I wish that was the case here. I might be able to hunt around better, but I've only found dried chickpeas at two stores and the both only sell 1 lb bags (I think)

That's fair, I honestly never looked into offsets personally beyond what they claim to use as big corps.

I dream of a time where there's a store in most towns that just sell bulk items in a "bring-your-own-container" situation. I know they exist some places, but obviously aren't widespread

So I'm no expert to start. If you're looking at "environmentally friendly" as a whole, its complicated. How much/many emissions are produced recycling and making new cans? How much is made for the stupid plastic bag that could probably be a cardboard box? The actual amount of plastic is pretty small, but it will exit until the plastic eating bacteria start to take over the world.

Personally, I'm not entirely zero waste, so take this for what it is. I would just use the dried beans for now. The amount of waste that produced is negligible compared to all the dumb shit corporations produce (which I can understand also negates most of what we do as individuals). Unless you're a purist, I would get rid of the big sources of waste first, leave small things last, but in the mean time push for local companies to switch what they do, convince the people where you work to use different packaging, or do the same for local government.

I'm also open to hearing others' opinions.

I agree on towing, that's a big deal for sure. Heating the car is not a big deal though. Even if you lose like 20% your range, for most people that just means plugging it in a day sooner in the winter, every 3 days instead of 4 etc.

In a vacuum, I don't blame him for selling shit to idiots to make money. As an ex-president and president-elext, its at best tacky as hell, and at worst illegal to use the office for personal gain.

Lastly, I honestly can't believe anyone buys this shit. Even if my favorite president who never was sold some Bernie watches or something, I wouldn't buy them. I genuinely do not understand who wants it.

I can see why it isn't vegan right now. Its also not hard to imagine that in the future it doesn't need animal cells for the process. Claiming that it will never be vegan is just an unnecessary addition that only makes people look overly pessimistic and stuck in their ways. Just leave it at "it's not currently vegan"

Also complaining that other forms of suffering will still exist, like wool gathering and leather etc is just being stupid. How does that help the conversation? Does some new technology have to eliminate all forms of animal suffering to be a good step forward?

The older I get the truer that gets
