A three-year fight to help support game preservation has come to a sad end today. The US copyright office has denied a request for a DMCA exemption that would allow libraries to remotely share digital access to preserved video games.

The VGHF argues that around 87% of all video games released in the US before 2010 are now out of print, and the only legal way to access those games now is through the occasionally exorbitant prices and often failing hardware that defines the retro gaming market.

If I have two Lemmy accounts can I have all of my subscriptions combined so they show up on both?

I don't really need them synced live but I just want to have all subs on both.

I have some subs that are the same on both servers, but also extra subs on both that the other doesn't have.

If this seems like it breaks rule 5, please direct me elsewhere. I figured [email protected] is just for server issues.

Yours is the most just understandable explanation so far. But I don't know if I understand this 'progressive no' argument.

I believe we, the Australian people, owe the indigenous peoples a greater weight on those opinion. This is their land after all.

I thought a group dedicated to ensuring the matters affecting any group of peoples are represented in Parliament would be a good thing. And if this is not "good enough", how will it have a worse outcome than voting no.
