I Don't think it's even that deep. For them, it's not a political philosophy or any kind of real philosophy. It's just a personality trait. Or LARPing.

It's interesting the types of phrasing they use, like shatter. I never think of stars as rigid, more ethereal even though I know how they work

For real. Totally ignoring that evolution doesn't work on individuals, only species over MILLIONS OF YEARS, and ALSO WE STILL HAVE ALZHEIMERS, CANCER, AND HARLEQUIN ICHTHYOSIS

Looks like you're the only one around who would find these and miss out on $10,000 cash.

If other people think something is worth $10,000, then it is worth $10,000 because they will pay you $10,000 for it

I still wanna point out that crows, like humans, have complex social behavior and high intelligence. They do things like hold grudges and form friendships. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence that they might mourn their dead, if not hold a symbolic event.

Assuming there's enough supernatural power to sustain a torture pit of fire for all eternity, It's probably trivial to just have you suffer non-stop regardless of any hypothetical limits.

However, even in real life pain receptors are distinct receptors in your body that don't dull themselves after a while, the way our smell and sight receptors do

I'm wondering what kind of peace they think they're asking for. Israel has a buffet of oppressive laws that deny Palestinians access to water, land, and infrastructure, and allow the IDF to raze villages at their discretion and detain people indefinitely without evidence, all under the pretext of fighting terrorism and protecting national security. Meanwhile Israel has been the occupying force in this region for decades. Remember they are, by definition, not on the defensive. These laws actually do discriminate against Palestinians, and make life very hard for them.

I wonder if this is the kind of peace where Israel thinks "why won't they simply accept our oppressive laws and let us displace them and take their land? Why are people fighting back all the time? We just want peace!"

I cannot stress enough that settlers and housing developments come at the same time as the military, and they work together. Like it's not even a terrorism thing. They are just chasing Palestinians around with housing developments to justify forcing them out. As far as I can see the only way Israel's operation could be peaceful is if the Palestinians literally just accepted their widespread displacement, dispossession and sometimes even mass murder, but we know that's not how peace works :)

Overwhelming plastic garbage

Not seeing a straightforward and true answer here so:

In the movie, they go into deeper and deeper layers of dreams within dreams. So the term "inception" came to mean things inside other things. Like if there was a lake on island on a lake, which in turn was on an island on yet another lake, you could call it lake-ception.

Yeah exactly, for them it's about the culture, in which language is a huge factor.

My friend talked a lot about the forces at work. Not all of it was simple capitalism. Disabled people are notoriously hard to design for because each disabled person is different and has different needs. This kind of business is not scalable and disabled people are already a minority. Even proper hand wheelchairs are fucking expensive cuz only a couple companies make them.
