If it's female how about just Kay?

I don't care about it being open source.

LJD has proven to be an excellent dev, who also listens to his users. He's built to a lot of trust as a result.

If he sold Sync, then my answer might be different.

Yeah, I'm wondering if I shouldn't get too comfortable setting up with this account, in case I have to move to a direct Lemmy account.

Whatever Sync works that's where I'll be.

My wallet is ready to buy whatever the highest tier is. Based on my Sync for Reddit experience it will be well worth it!

Oh, when you search, there is

SyncForLemmy

and also

syncforlemmy

They both exist the first one is the official one.

Sync was not only my favourite Reddit app, it was probably my favourite app.

Its UI was so usable that I found myself using the same gestures and taps to navigate through other apps and being disappointed when that didn't work.

It was that good.

Bring it on!

I just did that.

Go to Magazines (bottom of page on my phone).

Search for syncforlemmy

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on subscribe

Done!

That's going to be Sync for Lemmy??

That would awesome. I was a Sync for Reddit user and it was probably the best app I've ever used from a user experience point of view.

I use kbin on mobile (Galaxy S23 Ultra).

I've used Hermit Premium to create a Lite App (sort of a web app).

It's a good solution for now, feels like I've actually got a kbin app!

Microsoft Fight Simulator 2020

Learn how to fight in photorealistic settings all around the world!

That's an interesting point, I hadn't tried doing that yet. Seems fairly fixable though. I guess all this stuff will start to get better soon.

I don't properly understand how all of this works.

But signing up to kbin on the weekend was just like signing up for anything else online.

And once I did, replying to posts - like this one - was more or less the same as replying on any other discussion forum.

So....I don't get it, what's so hard? Do you really need to understand the technical details underneath to start using this place?

That said, I would like to grasp this whole thing a little better. But I figured the best way to do that is to jump straight in and go from there! :)

Battery Saver Mode - S23 Ultra

I recently unexpectedly got stuck without my charger for 3 days.

When I realised that would be the case towards the end of day 1, I put the phone into battery saver mode. It lasted me those 3 days until I got to my charger again.

But here's the thing, I didn't notice any practical difference in how the phone ran. It was still super fast/smooth. The only noticeable thing was it connected to 4G instead of 5G. But around here I'm averaging 200/20 up/down in 4G speeds, so I can't notice any real difference using the phone.

So two weeks later, I still haven't switched battery saver off! I only need to charge every 2 to 3 days and it never gets below about 25%.

Has anyone else used this? Do you actually notice any difference in usability?
