Day to day, definitely not, as I’m very happy here. Even if Lemmy doesn’t end up working out, I will look for something else that is open source…. Will I ever look at Reddit again, yes. Same way I will once or twice a year look at FB.
We just started Next Gen again and are at the black tar/oil monster episode right now… Always wondered about the Gates thing. Thanks for posting and will watch later.
As this first started unfolding and getting updates from Christian (Apollo dev) I had some hope. That faded fast and I actively started looking for open source alternatives and here we are. I have no hope for Reddit and was happy to light a few fires and delete all my content on the way out.

Well said. I run a branding and marketing biz and had a customer talking about seeing how they could implement this strategy. I said it nicely, but explained it would ruin everything they’ve worked so hard to build. Go buy some lotto tickets instead and keep your hard work in tact.
