Oooh yes. It has been on a downhill for a couple of years and worse now since the blackout. What I found annoying in Reddit is karma. Everybody is following it like a drug so they come up with one liners to get upvotes. No intelligent conversations. And when you try to have intelligent conversations, people insult you.
Lemmy/Kbin have been a breath of fresh air.
Thanks for this! One issue that I find annoying is that on my iPhone 8 Plus, scrolling posts (on the posts page) is extremely choppy, especially when they contain images/pictures.
sigh, it's hopeless, it will not happen. Reddit is now looking to fill a "Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Ads Targeting" position (https://boards.greenhouse.io/reddit/jobs/5009252). Which means that it wants people to use its app so that it's machine learning algorithm can target ads to users and make money for its future investors.
We're talking about a capitalist platform. Reddit's whole purpose right now is to go public (IPO). Lemmy/Kbin are the only free platforms.
