Agreed but it needs to catch up to the current influx before we make it any easier :P

That's true and it's growing fast enough that it doesn't need any help in that department, but increasing ease of use and lowering the barrier to entry are major factors in software design. Hopefully, the 3rd party app devs that no longer have Reddit apps to maintain make the switch easier in the future.

I think that this also helps one figure out Lemmy.

I deleted my Reddit account on July 1st as well. Their distain for the people that provide them free labor was disgusting.

Why when I go to install this in TestFlight does it say Limbo for Lemmy?! Version 0.0.1

[–] MeetInPotatoes 2 points 1 year ago

Exactly. They're not arguing that it's unconstitutional, they're arguing that Congress can't do that...lol. The SCOTUS put themselves in charge of Congress.

Yep, we get to watch it grow and I can be patient for that: I'm along for the ride. It's kind of like the people who have been playing a video game since alpha get to appreciate all the features that were introduced along the way that the rest of us take for granted. I'm predicting a flood of apps for the Fediverse since it's the most obvious next step for the third party app developers that have no Reddit to design for anymore.

Congress gave the Secretary of Education broad authority over student loans in national emergencies with the HEROES act. COVID was declared a national emergency. The Supreme Court basically said they can't do that even though that's exactly what they wanted to do. It's pretty plain bullshit. It's why the dissenting opinion didn't just disagree. accused the court of grossly overstepping its authority.

Greedy Pig Boy has said for a long time that Reddit isn't profitable. That means they're losing money every year.

Wholesome AF but I agree. It's my first comment using wefwef anyway, maybe 2nd or 3rd on lemmy? I was going to reply "this is the way" to your other quote lol. But you're spot on, and honestly, anyone who disagrees probably underestimated the number of young folks on Reddit, Digg, etc. in the first place. I've been on the interwebz since IRC days and showing new folks how to act is the way you build communities. It doesn't matter how old they are and nobody would ever know if they were lying about their age anyway. Cultivate good hoomans. Soooo tl;dr cheers!

As should we all.

Someone made a reference for where popular subs went. Fediverse feels like being a pirate on the open seas lol. Love it. https://sub.rehab/
