There was another thread where they reportedly were able to have the AI speak at length about it via prompt injection.

Out of the loop - what’s wrong with .world?

Oh man, didn’t realize Biglietto had a comeback, listening to it tonight! Thanks!

And yes,I agree, Attosecondo isn’t better, but holy crud I’m amazed they got that close!

Could this actual be the 14th amendment, birthright citizenship? That’s in the news RIGHT now and makes more sense. But he is showing how dumb he is, unless this is a heavy /s

Because nobody else was watching it so there was plenty of bandwidth. LOL, you should have said Netflix, more people would have gotten the joke

I think they’re not covering the “bribe” aspect of the grift enough. The bad actors never have to sell them - the ledger is the proof that they gave the bribe, when they ask for the “pro quo”. If they find a chump in 4, years, cool, but I think this is just the “you must bribe at least this much”.

Sorry for the delay - had to sit down with my music library and go through it:

Good Comebacks I know of:

  • Alphataurus - AttosecondO is fantastic. Their newer one is still undergoing evaluation. : )
  • Banco - Nudo (1997) was great, but I believe that was a live album, so it doesn't count (though there are several live comeback albums that are great, RDM's comes to mind, and that whole live show with like 10 bands where Ian Anderson played with PFM)
  • Celeste - Il Risveglio del Principe. It's one of the members making new music that's mostly pretty close to the original band. Overall def worth listening to. He's done several in the past 5(?) years.
  • Locanda Delle Fate - The Missing Fireflies. Lord, his pipes. Feels like a followup, I think is old material that wasn't released before?

Comebacks:

  • Museo Rosenbach - Barbarica. Mentioning it, own it, don't recall it. Which is sorta damning, I assume.

Albums I didn't know existed until checking to see what I had:

  • Metamorfosi - Purgatorio.
  • Osanna - Palepolitana.
  • Semiramis - LA FINE NON ESISTE.
  • Il Baletto Di Bronzo - Lemures.
  • Il Rovescio della Medaglia - Tribal Domestic. I had their recent live album (where they, honestly, CRUSH it...), but didn't know about this one.

I know that you can use a cigarette lighter, very briefly, to burn off the stuck-on ink off the ball… otherwise the ball will pop out because the ink behind it turns to steam, I assume.

I believe there’s a chemical (maybe isopropyl alcohol?) That you can apply to the ball to dissolve the ink as well.

Just wondering what people thought the great reunion/comeback albums were from Maxophone, Il Roverscio Della Medaglia, PFM, Banco, etc etc.

No, I don’t know what the story behind that is.

Saw an owl tonight! (lemmy.world)

Got this photo from my phone from the street. He was loud, hooted every 20-30 seconds. Really cool!

Went to IKEA the other day and came across these stuffed animals/hand puppets based off the Snowy Owl. Very soft and pretty darn cute

Don’t sleep on these guys. Holy hell. They just did a metal/rock version of ‘Ode to Joy’. Math rock/prog rock - love it!

I’m going to post several photos tonight - local awesomeness Plus Fest took Floral’s tour stop in DFW and added several bands to it - Friend Operation, Abelia (now defunct?), Johann (Japan), and Rob Ford Explorer.

This is Abelia, (formerly?) out of Dallas. Midwest emo with some (post?)-hardcore (one clean singer, one screamo), but a ton of bits people here would like - crazy tapping, bits that sound like ASIWYFA or Vasa. But one of the guitarists has said several times they’re no longer a band so… I don’t know.

No idea if they have any newer albums. Found this on Bandcamp. https://abeliaband.bandcamp.com/album/kalamari

And a link to this band, Friend Operation (file under Midwest emo, I’d think): https://friendoperation.bandcamp.com/album/irrelevant

I played this during one of the NextFests, and I’m psyched that it’s almost out. Think of Slay The Spire, but with Lovecraft.

Euphoric black metal from Iran.

Awesome show in Dallas tonight . Packed, too! Good for them, go see them!

No affiliation, just following them on Bandcamp and saw this, this morning. A little harsher than their self-titled.

Unsure WHICH one of the TWDY this is, but tickets just went on sale.
