Automatic conversion to Kepub is a benefit Calibre has, but the same thing can be done by running Kepubify before copying the files manually.

Your site and Mastodon profile seem to be set up properly.

Did you make sure to add the link on your Mastodon profile after adding the link on your website? According to the official docs (https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/profile/#verification):

Make sure to save your profile after adding the rel-me link to your web page! The verification process is triggered when you save your profile, and may take some time before completing. If you have added the rel-me link and verification is not working, then try daeleting the link, saving, re-adding the link, and saving again.

I just recently heard of BlueSky. How is it different from Mastodon? Does it promise to improve on ActivityPub in some way?

Wallabag or Omnivore are two alternatives, though I'm not sure how well it can be integrated into the e-readers.

Thankfully for current users of Pocket, according to this article, Kobo is planning to continue supporting the service even after the migration to Firefox accounts:

Sarah Vasquez, the Senior Manager, Communication at Mozilla, told Good e-Reader in an exclusive statement, “Kobo is aiming to update the Pocket login on their e-readers to support Firefox accounts. The exact timing is to be determined. However, Pocket’s existing Kobo users will not be affected nor lose access to their accounts. Note that new Pocket accounts created after August 15th may not have access to the existing Pocket login option, depending on when Kobo support becomes available. Kobo users can continue using Pocket on their iOS or Android device or use Pocket’s website.”

Update from the article:

Update: June 29, 2023

Sarah Vasquez, the Senior Manager, Communication at Mozilla, told Good e-Reader in an exclusive statement, “Kobo is aiming to update the Pocket login on their e-readers to support Firefox accounts. The exact timing is to be determined. However, Pocket’s existing Kobo users will not be affected nor lose access to their accounts. So it's just a matter of updating the login screen to support Firefox accounts/2FA, and Kobo is planning to release an update at some point.

There's a new engine that's been in development these last few months (available on the beta channel on PC) that greatly improves the performance. This might be what's going to be used on the Switch release.

Merci de parler un peu de XMPP ! C'est un très bon protocole et c'est vraiment dommage qu'il soit un peu délaissé au profit de Matrix cet dernières années.
