The repercussions of this conversation are also quite irrelevant. Like... How about let's all go out and touch some grass, right?

All I can see here is people belittling the work of those driving the fediverse and making up arbitrary and brainless rules on the spot that have been known as toxic, ridiculous and untenable in FOSS for decades...
