Just a heads-up, you accidentally wrote "the benefits strongly outweigh the benefits" instead of (presumably) "the benefits strongly outweigh the drawbacks."

If you think that "protest votes" have any chance of removing the two parties from power, you're naive. If it were that easy, it would have already happened as people have been voting and advocating for third party votes for generations. The way to actually affect change is to engage vociferously in primaries and lower level offices to get outside voices in at a level to actually change things - specifically abandoning FPTP voting and getting third party candidates in local offices (and eventually ditch the electoral college). Even if you somehow magically convinced everyone that "would like to vote for someone other than D's and R's" to actually do so in a national election, having a candidate that adequately represented enough people's beliefs to win is a statistical impossibility.
The fascists/Christian Nationalists have been methodically working towards their goals for decades; to think that you have any chance of overthrowing the Democratic or Republican party in this election is beyond laughable.
Regardless of material, I hate the mentality of replacing your wardrobe every year. It's just so wasteful.
UTA are awesome. I had never heard of them until their YouTube music put their version of Northwest Passage into my playlist, but I got hooked fast!
Thanks for reminding me how much I fucking hate Hearst (the family and the corporation). Also, good summary.
The woman being harassed by this company and the police is the only that's 39. The article doesn't mention the founder's age, and he definitely looks older than 39 from a quick search.
Wait... Weekend at Bernie's had a sequel? And it was in theaters?
I mean, I loved DOS2 as well, but I definitely think BG3 is the better game. There's a lot of replayability from the combat in DOS, but the story and characters in BG3 are on a whole different level. DOS2 does definitely rank in my top 5 CRPGs though (BG3, BG2, DOS2, DA:O, and probably NWN would be that full list)
Tanning beds also used to be a HUGE thing. The people that really frequently went to get a tan have much more leathery skin.
Are you arguing that 1.12 billion m/s is NOT faster than the speed of light, or are you arguing that the speed required by the kick is not 1.12 billion m/s? Because if it's the former, the speed of light in a vacuum is 300 million m/s (to 3 significant figures), or less than one third of that kick speed. If you're arguing the latter, I don't feel like checking all of the calculations this early in the morning, but you are probably right on that point.
Oh I get that. There are times that I miss aspects of my old jobs, but I'm quite certain I miss the idea of it, the nostalgia, more than the job itself. Like I have a lot of great memories of working at Taco Bell as a teenager - good friends, staying up super late (worked late shift on the weekends and when I was out of school), the freedom of it as a teen. But going back and doing that job now would suck ass, dealing with rude customers, the coworkers that were dead weight, the inconsistent schedule, constant commotion and high pace. I'm too old for that shit now, and a lot of what was fun then would be probably be annoying now. I'm sure plenty of things were different in fast food vs an actual kitchen in a sit down restaurant but I imagine you would deal with a lot of that same stuff.
Unrelated, but just wanted to say that I appreciate your username. Would vote for you for president.
