This was the game that popped my cherry. My very first game, links awakening was my second. Up to this date I still love Zelda but haven't tried the spiritual successor to planescape "tides of numenara".

Reddit addiction.
It could come down to tips. I have a pair of denon pearl pro, anc with stock tips is okish, but when I replaced the tips with some other ones that came from god knows where, they isolate really well. Haven't really rested the xm5 but it's been praised for its anc. I'll try them out tomorrow at my best buy.
I still don't understand what the point of a short box is. You can fit a decent amount of materials in it but why not just go for a full size box. Go figure.
It's a great time to game on linux. I my personally use arch and everything works fine for the games I play be it with steam and lutris. I also have an nvidia 3080 and it works fine.
I recommend pop! Os for your first distro. It's a very good distro that is newb friendly and it's ready to go from the first boot.
It's a perfect time to get your toes wet and there's plenty of places to get help when your stuck. The popos subreddit is full of people with the knowledge to help and most important here at lemmy.
I switched to arch using qtile wm a few months ago. Couldn't be happier. If a game doesn't run on my rig either though stream or lutris well I just don't play it, there's way more games to discover and play.
