Sure, at step 17 you are certain it's showing ngwt14 but it fails then takes you to an almost twenty year old "identify the motorcycles" with 8 pictures of a partial wheel... or is it a bicycle? And do they mean plural as in for the whole thing or in each image?

Besides Value Village and Renaissance, what stores do you go to, and for what type of goods? I mostly look for physical media, and electronics that I consider valuable.

I haven't found too many other stores yet in Montréal, but there's Friperie Notre-Dame in Lachine. They have decent physical media.

On the other hand there was the Habitat for Humanity Re-store, the one in St-Henri. They sold books and some records. It just went out of business and I can certainly see one reason why: selling donated or trash-picked furniture for as much as twice the price of a new item. Crazy.

I think they got upset at me one day because I saw a 9" Sony Trinitron in perfect condition with no price tag and the cashier just said "five bucks" and I barely had the time to slap a fiver on the counter when the manager came running at Mach 2 but too late.

I wanna seed a few discussions here... Anyone else look for HD-DVDs or 4K discs? I lucked out to find a HD-DVD player for 14$ with remote, and a XBOX drive that I can't figure out how to use on a PC. I'm still holding out to see if I can find a 4K Blu-ray player next.

So far I found the first season of Battlestar Galactica on HD-DVD in a nice picture case. Found Midway on a 4K/Blu-ray release, I don't even think I'd enjoy the movie, but how cool is that?

No idea what I'm doing here so I'll just type out whatever pops into my head.

Has anyone noticed that in the last few months the offer of DVDs and Blu-rays at Renaissance has shrunk and on top of it, the prices vary a lot store by store? Some Renaissances sell Blu-rays at $4.50 while some like Cote Des Neiges are at $8?

And you still need to check for scratches, or missing discs, or if it's the right disc.

Yeah I figured as much as soon as I hit submit.

In the last few months I decided to see what I could find on DVD and Blu-ray. It's a matter of luck and persistence but I do find good stuff now and then. Anyone else find missing Blu-rays from combo Blu-ray and DVd sets? Or DVD-Rs instead of pressed? And how do some people manage to scratch their discs so impressively?

Oooh ohh ohh ohh ohh ohhh ohhh ohhh luigi mangione (to the tune of Boney M's Gotta Go Home)

Haven't seen this street performer in many years. Don't know if it's the same guy, he does look plumper now. In front of St James United March 8 afternoon.

I came back from the mall, they had one of those little trains for kids. The locomotive had two incredibly bright 6000K (blue-white) headlights. What for? You're in a mall. It's lit. You're going 2 km/h. It's just cheap one size fits all Aliexpress junk. Not a single thought went into the selection of these abominations.

If you need extra lights in summer, in daytime, on a cloudless noon, you shouldn't be riding a vehicle. What gives you the right to blind and annoy oncoming pedestrians and drivers because of your misguided paranoia?

And typically, from my observations, the people crowing about biking being dangerous and they need safety ... wear earbuds. Sure, seal off one of your senses and then complain about safety. We biked for decades without piercingly blinding Cree LEDs taped on our bodies 24/7.

Not just cars, goofy cyclists too. Broad daylight, high noon on a cloudless summer day, somehow, cyclists need piercingly blinding bright little lamps on their handlebars. Or their helmets. Or their armbands. Or all at the same time. Cheap electronics from China make this possible. Backpacks. I couldn't believe what I was seeing the other day, a guy dressed like a manga-ninja, all black with a face mask, and a backpack covered in LEDs.

We shouldn't have caved back in the Arrow days.
