It's a set of patches for the base ISO, so hopefully it's pretty resistant to takedown? In either case I'm downloading it now while it's up.

Actually, I think CA regularly has more power outages than Texas. https://poweroutage.us/ Though I'm not sure how many people your utilities are found to manslaughter in a given year.

The problem was that hand counting votes in a county of our size is not legal, and I'm pretty sure we ended up switching to different machines anyway, so it seems to have just cost money and turmoil for no benefit to us.

In published media it's getting really frustrating to find articles that seem like honest reviews. The NYT did an article on toaster recommendations and they praised one for having something like a 3 year warranty because "toasters aren't known for their longevity."

This jerk convinced my county to get rid of our voting machines. A county that's always been about 65% red 35% blue.

Yeah I'm totally sure Biden stole the election by having a county in California vote the way they had been voting for decades.

Where I live is basically the polar opposite climate wise and I dream of moving to somewhere frozen over half the year.

Glad to see this is about something helpful instead of a weird way of describing conversion therapy like I thought when I saw the title!

Yeah for me they're usually sold as "each", so the bundle is just proportionally more.

I live not too far from my inlaws. They have PG&E, we have our city's public utility. Despite using about a third the power we do, their electric bill is over double ours. (On top of that, their water bill is 5x ours, but that's not PG&E's fault. It still shows how much better public utilities are than private ones, though.)

One could be a annoying and insist that until John Quincy Adams no president had any non-foreign-born parents.

But more seriously, both of Andrew Jackson's parents were born in Northern Ireland.

Edit: and Van Buren's parents were Dutch.

Each level looks like something I'd expect an undergrad to have at least seen before to be honest.
