My most fun car was my OG bugeye Rex. Wasn't an STI but damn did I love that car. Was so sad to have to say goodbye to it after 13 years of daily driving it.

I didn't realize KVM switches were so problematic for everyone. I tried 2 a while back and they sucked. These KVM switches in the video sound great, but damn are they expensive.
Too bad a huge percent of those UAW members will end up voting Trump.

I really wish Mazda would release some new Speed models. The 2nd gen S3 came out about a decade ago, and the S6 is nearing 20 years old. Really, I wish they would release any new non-crossover models because its a brand I want to like, but nothing in their lineup really suites my needs.

Here's why: It takes more guts to break such a long held tradition than the Democrats would ever be willing to show. If they win power again, they will always kick the can down the road.
And it isn't going to happen if Republicans are in power. No way. Because they know it helps them win, so why would they ever change it?
This is similar to the talk 2 years ago about expanding the size of the Supreme Court to dilute the conservative vote. There was seemingly a new article on it posted every other day and how supposedly it could be done, blah, blah, blah... then the second that Biden got into office, everyone forget about it.
Eliminating the electoral college would be a far bigger change, so the chances of it happening are zero. People need to move on and the Dems need to find a way to win with the EC in place.

It isn't the base that we need to flip. No party can win with ONLY it's base. It is the roughly 1/3 of Americans who are independents that need to be convinced and increasingly they are rather sick and tired of the social nonsense they see from Democrats. They are sick of the identity politics BS and even if they might otherwise lean Democrat, they might not in the upcoming election.
It doesn't help that the local Democrat that represents that region (or whats to, at least) doesn't even show up to these union cookouts. That only helps perpetuate the idea that Democrats live in ivory towers and aren't connected to average Joes.
Unfortunately I think we are caught in a weird holding pattern for cars like that. For the last few years all car makers have been cutting almost anything fun or interesting as they ramp up their EV game. And that's going to continue for a few more years as there is a whole ton of stuff going on internally and tons of uncertanty. I think (or at least I hope) that once these comapnies figure out their EV game-plan, they will use the cost savings allowed by using a common skateboard platform and let their designers run wild with crazier designs. But if that does happen, it probably won't for a while. I think the first sign of this is that rather cool ID.Buzz retro EV van from VW.
Only one way to find out, I guess. But still, a lot of this stuff comes from the high end that eventually trickles down, and I've never heard any discoveries that claim to have solved the problem. You'd think that since the military would be all over this tech, their limitless budgets would have stated they have sickness-free headsets. But in all these years, nothing.
