My configuration is:

  • Core i5 12500
  • 32GB RAM
  • nvme ssd: Samsung 2TB
  • nvme ssd: crucial 4TB
  • HDD: Seagate ironwolf pro 10TB
  • HDD: Seagate exos 18TB
  • HDD: Seagate exos 20 TB it runs:
  • VM with Home Assistant OS
  • Calibre with content server
  • Containers like Nginx reverse proxy, nextcloud, audiobookshelf etc. and qbittorent

At idle, with 2 of 3 hdds spinned down it uses about 30-33W at wall.

I drive every month over 1100km one way and then few days later back home. It's almost impossible to do it with EV

Great review. I'd like to see power consumption tests too, because this device works 24/7 and sometimes it takes more energy than laptop in a year.

Now Ryzen 7900X is cheaper than 7900 what is weird. Is it possible to run 7900X undervolted to reach the low power consumption of Ryzen 7900? If yes, is it better to buy this cheaper 7900X or 7900 which has 65W TDP?
