Pretty sure they're out of air by now.

Even if they made it to the surface, you can't open it from the inside. There's no rescue mission, just recovery

Making up new rules everytime there's a new protest won't work

People will just come up with new inventive ways to fuck reddit over, and everytime reddit makes a new rule up, they'll be articles like this giving the protest free press and making reddit look like jackasses

The ADL isn't perfect, but it's better than mint press...

As I’ve said probably not in this thread, but fostering good communication and thoughtful discussions is something I really appreciate and enjoy.

It's definitely appreciated!

Especially with a new site most users (including myself) really don't know much about.

I thought Lemmy just didn't have downvotes until I saw comments in other instances at zero.

With how small Lemmy is, I browse by "all" not just posts to this instance.

So not having downvotes here isn't a big deal. But in a lot of other instances where downvotes are allowed, I still can't downvote because I signed up through here.

I haven't seen anything on this instance worth downvoting, but I've already seen bigoted comments in other instances, and I'd like to downvote those so they're not the top comments.

It's not a big deal though, I can always just sign up under one of those that allows downvotes and abandon this login.

Everytime I see posts like this, it's hard not to think OP isn't just trolling or are just also bigoted and that's why they don't see an issue with it...

Maybe your problem is you just keep asking social media users instead of reading one of the many, many articles outlining it.

She might not openly say bigoted things, but it's pretty obvious she holds bigoted views. Like, someone can be bigoted even if they don't admit it.

I once got a bot reply that was word for word a comment I had made somewhere else in the same thread...

Like, people always joked that everyone was a bot, but I think it was a lot more than anyone thought.

Yep, nsfw means no ads.

Also set it so a mod has to approve every post before it shows.

That way the sub is technically up and they can't take it or make money off it.

Sonic used to be amazing, but eventually all fast food cuts quality overtime

Plus, wether we like it or not, Lemmy is majoritarily used by people with a lot of tech knowledge - the exact same group you’d expect to be running ad blocking software.

Same was true of reddit when I started there...

Hell, Facebook used to just be a tool to find people in your class for sharing notes at first.

Social media starts out niche and then once the community is built, others join.

If it's subscription, users are the clients.

If it's ads, users are the product.

What was real bad when they'd wait hours and then just say basically the same thing as what was at the top organically.

No new info, just want the easy karma from the top post
