I don't really think there is any harm in it, the people who are only going to show up for a symbolic protest would only show up for a symbolic protest. And the people who would show up to both this and more meaningful protests will still show up for more meaningful protests.

Not really, the largest protest in US history was the Women's march in 2017 a day after his inauguration, which I imagine they are taking some inspiration from. You could definitely argue that if these people did these same demonstrations against Biden for not stepping down and it forced the Dems to actually hold a primary it might have done something, but outside of that neither Biden or Harris was gonna win the election knowing what we know now. So I don't really think "a little too late" applies, these people wouldn't have been willing to protest Biden largely and are mostly doing this to show their disapproval for Trump and his anti women policies similarly to the last time. Obviously people to the left of Democrats will be protesting to show their support for Palestine and their disapproval for Trump for a variety of issues, but they will be in the minority as there are a lot less of them than liberals upset with Trump.

We're really gonna see what it means to be a "santuary city" when there is actually someone willing to try to send agents there anyways

Both laws prevent local enforcement officers from asking for a person’s immigration status, detaining someone because of their immigration status or cooperating with federal immigration agents in several crucial areas.

This helps protect undocumented immigrants, because ICE agents seek local law enforcement help when they’re going after noncitizens with reported immigration violations.

Assuming the cops don't collaborate with ICE bc they are prohibited from doing so are we doing to see a bounty system where citizens are given bounties for ratting on migrants or a tip line or just a bunch of door knocking in poor areas. We'll see I guess.

Abacus Data found that Quebec was the province with the highest proportion of respondents (77 per cent) saying they are "absolutely against."

No surprises here, I'm not gonna do the math, but that might push Anglo Canada up to a 1/3 open to it or something along those lines.

• 3M marketed its firefighting foams as safe and biodegradable for decades, despite knowing they contained toxic PFAS chemicals that persist in the environment.

• Evidence from as early as 1949 showed PFAS did not degrade, yet 3M continued promoting its products as environmentally neutral until the 1990s.

• PFAS contamination, linked to thyroid disease, cancer, and other health issues, is now found in water, soil, animals, and human blood worldwide.

• Misleading claims led to widespread environmental damage, including disposal of PFAS in rivers and agricultural fields, described as “disastrous” by experts.

• 3M paid $10 billion in settlements for PFAS contamination but has not admitted liability and plans to cease PFAS production by 2025.

• PFOS firefighting foams were banned in the UK in 2011, but PFOA foams will not be fully restricted until 2025, and other PFAS compounds remain in use.

• Experts warn that PFAS pollution represents a global public health crisis with no quick fixes due to the chemicals’ extreme persistence.

Droidify is a client of F-Droid, I wouldn't say either is better, it's preference.

I imagine they just want to recommend something already on F-Droid, and, I also imagine the IronFox people will start releasing on F-Droid directly soon vs having a added repo. But, adding the repo is not hard.

iPhone USB-C is hackable, but users don't need to worry yet

Fear mongering that tells you not to worry

Security researcher Thomas Roth recently uncovered several vulnerabilities in Apple's ACE3 USB-C controller for the iPhone 15 and 16.

misattributing by specifically saying it is Apple's controller

A+ great comment, keep it up!
