Jeannie and Rob are insulting their fans' intelligence. This team is going nowhere. Lebron is ready to hang them up. The constant coaching carousel is a joke, as is most of the roster. The organization knows it and doesn't care, as long as they put bodies in the seats and make their cable tv contract money. Freaking pathetic.

Give them places to live and teach them to grow food which will help pay for the whole thing. It may not work for all of them but maybe it would help 35% or so of them? That's a shitload more than we seem able to help now.

This is all obviously Reddick's fault, just like it was Ham's fault before him, and Vogel's before that. Place your bets folks - who will be Jeannie and Rob's next scapegoat??

I give it.....six weeks until the Crips apply for the DPE

The show was awful. Inane attempts at drama punctuated by the occasional monster. To quote Logan: "ice cream for bedwetters"

I'm a boomer in late-career and I absolutely agree with this. Companies might put on airs about "corporate culture" and "join our family" - with very rare exception, it's complete bullshit. You're a disposable replaceable asset, nothing more. My advice: find a job you like that you are good at, and where you like your boss (hugely important IMO), give the job what it needs, and nothing more. Keep the rest of the time for your life, hobbies, family, J2, or whatever.

I'm late-career. I'm good at what I do - I might even say great. I have a unique blend of skills, aptitudes, and personality traits that naturally suit me for what has amounted to a very successful career. Not too long ago I accepted the offer to work the job I have now. While it is not the most money I have ever made, I am certainly paid pretty well - and I am constantly thankful and grateful that, somehow, I have not aged out of what I do.

Here is the punch line: this job is ridiculous. With the exception of a couple of in-person meetings, I have probably averaged no more than 5 to 10 hours of real work per week. And yet they love me. And yes, I love them, because I have so much time. I have recently become torn between devoting hours every day to a couple of important hobbies, or taking the plunge and trying to find J2, or at least a side gig.

The teams rank 6th (Lakers) and 13th (Clippers) in total payroll for next season, and both will be mired in mediocrity, at best.

AFAIC they lost all their slack the season after the bubble when they stupidly blew up the roster. That team deserved a chance to repeat, just as they were.

Stan Van Gundy left nothing but a smoking crater in his wake after a disastrous 4 years running that franchise. They havent won a playoff game since 2008. Has Tom Gores gone senile?

This is an absolutely EPIC series. Game 6 was a freaking Beatdown for the AGES. Only two games decided by less than 9 points - the rest are a series of alternating smackdowns. The series features the MVP, the DPOY, AND the 6th Man of the Year. When was the last time that happened???

So, the Lakers still have a coaching vacancy. But, who would want this ridiculous game of musical chairs?

First of all, you have a meddling, incompetent ownership group to deal with who will probably get you on the cheap because they like to spend/blow all their money on aging superstars. Next, is kowtowing, accommodating and acquiescing to the whims and ego of that aging superstar or find yourself gone before your tenure is up. Then, there’s the flawed lineup: no, established backup center, a weak bench and no third reliable scoring option in your starting five. Finally, you can forget about developing young, promising talent because they’ll be gone before you know it.

Um … sounds like a “great“ Job opportunity.

....along with Kurt Rambis if not already done. Laker management messed up when they broke up the bubble roster and the team has never recovered. The coaching carousel is likely to continue until Lebron retires and likely beyond.
