It's clear that Israel has major sway with the US. We were not gonna stop them no matter who was in charge. I think Joe did as much as he could without pissing off our corporate overlords but him ending the conflict was never gonna happen.

People like this are just primed to make up their own reality. Rather than face the truth that he has a (probably) shitty job, his mind instead translates it to: "those people are lazy, I'm a hard worker. I'm working a holiday because I'm a tough man and can handle it"
