do you want to primarily game on it or do you want it to be a great phone that can game? both are good options but we need to know use case to help make a good decision.
things have come a long way in the last 5 years or so. i have a lot of bad things to say about Samsung software but updates/support is good now. that being said, I'm on a pixel as a primary device at the moment so YMMV

I can second PineTime as well if you want super minimal for a very low price. I've also enjoyed the Fossil Hybrid HR Smartwatches if you you'd like two week battery life and don't mind physical arms and eink.
Sure, it's early days with Lemmy. I think it does a pretty decent job considering the orders of magnitude difference in dev time between Reddit and Lemmy.
RCS messaging for iPhones. Apple is basically never going to do it because iMessage is a big part of the iPhone lock in.

Makes sense. If the port cover was open even a bit, the microUSB port wasn't sealed against water at all and water goes everywhere. Modern phones wouldn't have that particular problem so we'd have to see how they'll handle replaceable batteries now.
I'm rocking Liftoff, Connect, Jerboa and Summit. So much good app dev occurring.
