Micro is absolutely fantastic piece of software. I install it everywhere I can - windows, mac, pi, router, vacuum robot.
The best feature of it - its static binary without requirements, so you can literally use it wherever you want, just put it in /bin.
I highly recommend it for everyone - it's basically CLI sublime text.

They certainly do (from database). Maybe you're right - main reason I didn't wanted to use current stack is because outdated PHP curl (TLSv1, eh), but I can probably achieve the same with “exec”.
