Fedora silver blue ftw. Immutable systems are the future.

They’re both twats. They aren’t making converts or reaching the people who can even effectuate a change. All the do is poison the well for the middle of the country that otherwise might have been receptive.

If I’m on my way to work, or the hospital, or to visit gram gram and some whack job makes my life noticeably more miserable then I’m always going to have negative feelings for them.

This is belied by the fact that one of the most common elective procedures for men is a vasectomy. It (actually) has more to do with numbers. In men you have to block millions of sperm- in women it’s one egg. Physiologically, it’s an easier problem to solve in women.

If you spent more than 3 seconds reading what you post, you’d realize that fecal transplant only affects the gut microbiome, not body-wide resistance. Fecal transplant, obviously, does nothing to combat pneumonia, skin infections, abscesses, or literally anywhere other than the gut. As the vast majority of fatal or life threatening infections are not isolated to the gut, your argument fails. But I need not argue against citations, as the provided papers don’t even argue your point.

This is a simplified to the point of absurdity comment. Microbiome is important, but is absolutely not enough to prevent antibiotic resistance.

Real question- I have a steam deck and am incredibly pleased with the playability. I also have a desktop with a newer nvidia card. Does Linux have support for DLSS yet? It make a huge difference in oerformance and honestly it’s the only thing holding me back

This fucking trash statement with the chefs kiss last sentence makes me think you’re a teenager yourself.

Kinda a leap from OPs post. While unfulfilled, he doesn’t describe his job as oppressive, or being overworked at all.

It sounds like depressive symptoms, TBH. Having worked in a high pressure system that demands more all the time, one helpful tool is to make and work towards goals. Goal based work feels fulfilling because there’s a reward at the end of it. Even if the goal is 2 years down the road, it’s worth working towards something rather than just working.

I’m not sure what to make of the argument- on one hand I get your point for sure, no one wants to be profited off of. That said, she could not have possibly been credited in her time as she passed in the same year to biopsy was performed. Furthermore, the cell line was taken from the remaining tissue for her biopsy, which was destined to be destroyed or discarded. I think this argues against the idea that she was uniquely victimized.

This is certainly not to discount her contribution, it’s just that the harm here (lack of informed consent) was pervasive and widespread. If there’s another another harm committed, please enlighten.
